Aloo Tikki Chaat Recipe – Crispy Street-Style Snack

Aloo Tikki Chaat is a famous North Indian street snack made with crisp potato patties topped with curd, chutneys, onions, spices, and sev. It’s a flavor explosion in every bite!









🧾 Ingredients:

🔸 For Aloo Tikki:

  • 3 medium potatoes (boiled & mashed)

  • 2 tbsp cornflour or bread crumbs

  • Salt to taste

  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder

  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder

  • Oil for shallow frying

🔸 For Chaat Toppings:

  • 1/2 cup curd (whisked)

  • 2 tbsp green chutney (mint & coriander)

  • 2 tbsp tamarind chutney

  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)

  • 1 small tomato (chopped)

  • 1 tsp chaat masala

  • 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder

  • 2 tbsp nylon sev

  • Coriander leaves (for garnish)


👨‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Prepare Tikkis:
    Mix mashed potatoes with salt, cornflour, cumin & chili powder.
    Shape into flat round tikkis.
    Shallow fry on tawa until crispy and golden on both sides.

  2. Assemble the Chaat:
    Place 2–3 hot tikkis on a plate.
    Top with curd, green chutney, and tamarind chutney.
    Add onions, tomatoes, chaat masala, cumin powder, and sev.
    Garnish with fresh coriander.

Enjoy hot with extra chutney and lemon on the side!
