Bhindi Fry Recipe – Crispy Okra Sabzi for Roti or Rice
Short Description
Bhindi Fry is a simple, tasty Indian side dish made by stir-frying okra with basic spices. It’s crispy, non- sticky, and perfect for lunch or dinner with roti or dal-chawal.
🧾 Ingredients:

250g bhindi (okra/ladyfinger)

2 tbsp oil
-
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
-
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
-
1 green chili (slit)
-
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
-
1 tsp coriander powder
-
1/2 tsp red chili powder
-
Salt to taste
-
1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
👨🍳 Instructions:

Wash & Dry Bhindi:
-
Wash bhindi and pat completely dry with a cloth.

Cut into thin, uniform round slices.

Start the Frying:
-
Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.

Once they splutter, add green chili.
-

Add Bhindi & Spices:
-
Add sliced bhindi and sauté on medium flame for 5–7 minutes.

Now add turmeric, chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.

Cook Until Crisp:

Keep stirring occasionally until bhindi becomes slightly crisp and dry.

Turn off heat and add lemon juice if using.
