🧄 Garlic Naan Recipe – Soft & Fluffy Without Tandoor

Learn how to make soft, buttery Garlic Naan at home without a tandoor! This recipe uses a regular pan (tawa) and comes out just like a restaurant — perfect with Paneer Butter Masala or Veg Kolhapuri!
🧾 Ingredients:
For the Dough:

2 cups all-purpose flour (maida)

1 tsp sugar

½ tsp baking powder
-
½ tsp baking soda
-
¼ cup curd (yogurt)
-
2 tbsp oil or ghee
-
Salt to taste

Warm water (to knead)
-
Extra flour (for rolling)
For Topping:

4–5 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
-
Fresh coriander (chopped)
-
Butter or ghee (for brushing)
👨🍳 Instructions:
Step 1: Make the Dough

In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.

Add curd and oil. Mix.

Slowly add warm water and knead into a soft dough.

Cover with a cloth and rest for 1–2 hours.
Step 2: Roll the Naan

Divide dough into balls.

Dust with flour and roll into oval or round shape.

Sprinkle garlic and coriander on top, press gently.
Step 3: Cook on Tawa (Pan)

Heat a tawa (iron or non-stick).

Place naan (garlic side up) on hot tawa.

Once bubbles appear, flip it and cook both sides until golden brown spots appear.

Brush with melted butter or ghee.
